Enjoy The Stream's fifth studio album on beautiful vinyl. The music on this album is part of the multidisciplinary show Nature Calls. Combining music, theatre and science, this is a special show, created at the kind request of Prof. Dr. Ir. S.J. van der Molen and Prof. Dr. I. van Vulpen for the Leiden European City of Science year. The music is inspired by famous scientific formulas, which can be found as Wall Formulas, in Leiden, Utrecht and many cities to come.

Twelve well crafted pop songs. Chamber pop which occasionally rises to orchestral dimensions. The Stream's distinctive sound is a combination of unique piano, vocal harmonies, a storytelling lead vocal, a lock tight rhythm section, and now and then a lyric synth.

So Long 05:21
Have you ever wondered in your deepest dreams All of nature’s secrets as magic it may seem Have you ever figured out and proven right Are you still just guessing everything that might Do you still discover, do you still find out Do you know the secrets what it’s all about How could this be right, so wrong, so long How could this be right, so wrong, so long Have you ever traveled back and forth in time Just take a look above you, beyond the sun and shine Isn’t it mere beauty, the deepest sky so dark Imagine its beginning, first the brightest spark Have you ever wondered all those shining stars Looking down upon us, writing their memoires How could this be right, so wrong, so long How could this be right, so wrong, so long Have you ever wondered if all rain were tears How many people crying, for many thousand years Have you ever whistled, or sang a simple song Pressure and harmonics, the speed of sound a long Have you ever listened to a quiet place Without any distractions, a figure or a face How could this be right, so wrong, so long How could this be right, so wrong, so long

For every state you’ve been We all felt isolation The many, the few, the near and the far And what we’ve seen is just a lack of observation Including the nature of what we are You simply can’t deny there’s always interaction Even when it’s small One look at each other Two seconds to be To find one another Shut your eyes and you’ll see Sometimes I get a little excited It's just a phase, don’t have to hide it, it’s cool So many words, so many rules and regulations Sometimes you just want out Out of this place, with all its pressure and frustration You feel the need to shout You simply can’t deny the space you need to feel good Even when it’s small One look at each other Two seconds to be To find one another Shut your eyes and you’ll see Sometimes I get a little excited It's just a phase, don’t have to hide it, it’s cool One look at each other Two seconds to be To find one another Shut your eyes and you’ll see Sometimes you get a little excited, sometimes there’s no notion at all Sometimes we get a little excited Just a phase, don’t have to hide it, it’s cool

If you’d ever wonder where we go Just take a look above, you’ll know Just pick a shining star, you’ll see That’s where we keep our memories And when the feeling strikes you’re all alone Your smiling face seems dead and gone Just take a look into the sky That’s where I’ll keep your brightest smile Into the night so dark and bright For every star, so very far So long ago That’s where you and I will go If you ever wish upon a star No matter near, no matter far More than 200 million years And we will never disappear Into the night so dark and bright For every star, so very far So long ago, so much unknown For eternity That’s where you and I will be For every star, so very far So long ago, so much to show Eternity That’s where you and I will be

Fade Away 02:16
When you’re out of fuel, your core contracts Everything else grows bigger It’s time to fade away You’re turning red, like a balloon Don’t blow or pull the trigger It’s time to fade away You burn and fuse, the core’s so hot But this won’t last forever It’s time to fade away When number two is finally gone Cool down, because it may be now or never It’s time to fade away time to fade away 4x When you shed the outer layer Into a shell of gas and dust, I guess it’s… time to fade away You’re a little dwarf, dense and white In time just fade to black because it’s… time to fade away time to fade away 8x

Nature Calls 03:53
Nature Calls Nature Calls Well have you ever tried to defy the laws of nature like you had to jump way too far You did’t jump off the page, but still it felt like a hard drop you had to drop You simply cannot make it, cos the jump is too far The ground is harder when you fall And guess what, Nature Calls Nature Calls Nature Calls So have you ever been in a situation you wished you could travel faster than light For instance because you don’t have enough time to be on time this time You didn’t figure out in time, all happened too fast ‘Cos time is gentle while it last and guess what, Nature Calls Nature Calls Nature Calls

Shine On 02:28
I don’t think we’ve seen this before These ancient lights have shined for millions years or many more, and many more to come I don’t think I understand I don’t think I know
I don’t think any one does Shine on, shine on I don’t think you want this I don’t think you do I don’t think or believe you know what it all truly means There’s facts and figures, science and truth, and so many in between I don’t think we’d see or widness every single day Just shine or fade away Shine on, shine on

Pendulum 03:34

I saw the moon this morning While silent birds did sing And for the briefest moment I tried to spread my wings As the clouds pass by This ain’t no lullaby When the clocks stop ticking Time still fades away And trying to save the moment The night turns into day I saw a withered flower And quite remorselessly What might have been an hour Became eternity While the shades grew tall This summer turned into fall When the clocks stop ticking Time still fades away And trying to save the moment The night turns into day Time to fade away 8x It’s too late for running It’s too late for truth It’s too late, exaggerate Ease the way I’m landing Please Now I’ve finally woken And my years of dreams Left my hourglass broken What it seems As I close my eyes This day becomes the night When the clocks stop ticking Time still fades away And trying to save the moment The night turns into day

Free To Go 03:38
It’s the first part of your journey It’s the first part of the show I can’t figure out the way you'd turn to And you don’t know where to go So we all need reassurance More then you will ever know When it’s time to take that giant step Where no-one’s ever gone before Then you’re free You’re free to go So you’re free You’re free to go Where ever you want to go I don’t understand the meaning There so much I do not know But it feels it doesn’t make any difference Either way, it’s time to go ‘Cause you’re free You’re free to go So you’re free You’re free to go Where ever you want Whenever you are sorry For any step you took Just remember all the ups and every downs And you feel free - you’re free You’re free Free to go You’re free Free to go Where ever you want Now you’re free You’re free to go So you’re free You’re free to go Where ever you want to go
